Anyhoo - it is not often that you can wake up with a view "Casino Royale" from your bed.
With breaky on the balcony done it is time to disembark and have a peek-a-boo.
Just heard a siren whiz past... That even sounded expensive..."maaaah-kneeeee... maaaah-kneeee......"
Another update later.
Au-revoir!
Continued...
Today has been a fun day. We are about to set sail for our final port, Barcelona...and the final chapter of the #DBC40 adventure.
So Monte Carlo... Holy shitballs!..about describes it. The shear extravagance of this place is mind boggling. However the shear beauty of it is divine.
Heaven forbid we actually saw a Ford car drive past, it must have been the "helps".
We jumped on the hop-on-hop-off shuttle bus and did a compete lap in about an hour so that we could just catch a glimpse of everything from the palace to the casino and the extravagance in between.
There are over 2000 millionaires located here and about 50 or so billionaires.
We managed to see some well known aspects of the Grand Prix track including the downhill chicane and the tunnel...which has its own souvenir shop! A birthday present for my bro may or may not have been picked up here.
Love the fresh fruit juice vending machine too...juice was alright :)
The palace was lovely and we managed to be in the neoghbourhood for the Changing Of The Guard. (photos on other camera)
One treated one's self to a cuppa tea. €8... Lucky the fridge magnets were cheap!
Not a bad cuppa though and the view was OK too... Of the Monte Carlo Casino, building on left.
Pretty cool fountain outside the casino too..reflecting the casino.
Clyde found a little boat that he wanted to get, but we have no room in our luggage!
