Busy bee!

Well there was a whole load of hotel amenities which crew had collected along the way. It was sitting in the crew room for a long time. Made a quick visit to the airport to get it. It was decided that it could be well used right now, so abracadabra.... Now they are 31 little kits for us to take to the Evac Refuge Centre at the showgrounds. Emptied out linen cupboard of all the old stuff we rarely use, we "tidied" the closet... Funny what you find in there after all these years. Plus it will be restocked next month when we are away.

Last day in Cabo

Last night we were invited to friends of Ash's for a good old home cooked meal. Bloody awesome food with some lovely company.

Time to do the work thing, PACK! Off to LA tomorrow...
Managed to get active today and made the most of it. Ash introduced us to Maria who rented us a Waverunner. Wicked fun on the water for a few hours.
Jenny got away ok today. It was so lovely to see her after such a long time.

Dinner now... Last chance of good food before the states again tomorrow. Bring on the Mexican!!!!

Found a nice spot by the pool at the resort in Cabo! It's Saturday and all the loud fukt yanks have left. I'm sure there are plane loads heading this way though. Nice to have the bandage off for a while.

Escaping the rat race

This is the view as we just stop for once. Not much else to really do. Bit difficult to play in the water when your wrist is bandaged up and swollen to all buggery. Might pass on a doctor until home.

But on a sunny side it was wonderful to finally see Ash, Daniella and Jenni, enjoying a splendid Mexican dinner....with vegetables.
Well back to enjoying the view and getting some colour x

Thank god we have left the hotel! Now sitting at SFO mingling with all the traveler types we are trying to escape. It is hard escaping what feels like work when you work in the industry.

Harvey did a lot for SFO in the 70's for not just our community but everyone. Very proud to encounter where he lived.. Photos to follow... They are on the proper camera...

Armistead Maupin, a fav author of mine, wrote of the adventures of folks in SF during the 70s. His characters lived in Barbary Lane. In real life it is called Macondary.... And we managed to find it!!! Oh my god, words can't explain the experience of seeing this.
Off on a tram back to the dreaded shit-hole-tel! Bandaidz for the feet, then off to Postcard Row / Painted Ladies... No idea what we are talking a out.. Google it... Clue- the house where Mrs Doubtfire lived!!!

Think back... Phuket, day of traveling, a big need to have a shower...and...you find you can actually piss faster than the shower! At least the hotel engineer came to try to fix it as soon as possible..but with no luck. So it is Friday night in San Fran and we are going to stay in! The bambi behind the reception desk doesn't give a flying fuck either.

So an update the morning after, now in a twin / smoking room that hasn't been dusted since Alcatraz was in use. At least the shower works.

By the way Alcatraz was bloody amazing, ghostly and spooky for Friday 13th!! Would probably prefer to spend time staying there than in this fucking dump of a hotel!

Off to the laundromat now Yay! X

Vegas has been fun, the body clock is stuffed....still! Maybe it is because when you are meant to sleep is when Vegas comes alive.

Not often you can buy jeans for $15...
So 3.5 hours, and a grand lighter, but we did save $1k too compared to Oz prices!
